Writing comes first…

OK, I haven’t exactly stuck to the daily writing word count I set myself only a couple of weeks ago. It’s not that I don’t have the time. For once in my life I actually do. I’m sat here waiting for number one baby to arrive, well not imminently. The thing is, I always thought I’d be a proper full-time author by the time that major life-changing event happened but as yet… Still, I have until mid-May. If I can just get my current manuscript finished, sent off to an agent who’ll immediately love it, and find me a great publishing deal then everything will be on track. No harm in being ambitious, right?

So, first of all I need to get down to the writing. Right now! Without further delay! You see, I read a quote from John DeMartini on Twitter this morning which said, “If you don’t fill each day with high priority actions, your day will fill up with low priorities.” That’s clearly where I’m going wrong. Writing must come first, ahead of everything else! Now we’ve got that sorted, I’ll just make a cup of tea, check my emails and get on with it. Honest!
